Walking is our Fundamental Human Movement Blueprint. We have ONE Giant muscle with 600+ attachments, which are all interconnected through this giant spiderweb composed of collagen type I and type III fibers known as fascia. Fascia stores and distributes roughly 60% of the body’s water. So to stimulate and hydrate this giant web of fascia/muscle complex; we have to walk better daily and perform specific activation exercises that optimize our walking-gait. Every step can hydrate and heal you or dehydrate, inflame and break your body down.

Walking is the most important exercise that we need to be prioritizing daily. We don’t Squat or Deadlift from point A. to B. We Walk. Not only this, but every athletic sport and movement pattern is greatly enhanced when you optimize your Biomechanical Gait Function – AKA Walking.

The majority (at least 99%) of exercise programs tend to hinder our walking gait more so, rather than enhancing it. This is due to the compartmentalization of muscles from isolated one-dimensional movements keeping us stuck in the sagittal plane. Have you ever seen a bodybuilder walk/run? It’s not pretty. I’ve known plenty of them to get injured just on light hikes. Most of these exercise programs prioritize powerlifting and bodybuilding as a priority while overlooking functionality and longevity. Leading to inflammation, calcification and dehydration of our fascia. People are more prone to hip surgeries than ever before.
